Trudy Jacobson retells the stories of Great American Women in America and is now launching a new series to highlight the women of American history.
For Immediate Release ##
Trudy has spent a lifetime succeeding and thriving as an entrepreneur and CEO of one of America’s largest trucking companies. She built her company from the ground up, but it wasn’t an easy ride.
Having gone through the obstacles associated with running a company in a male-dominated industry, Trudy wants to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
“I know firsthand how it is to deal with uphill battles like discrimination. I want women to know that if I can overcome these obstacles, they can too,” Trudy said.
Trudy then started the Great American Women series to highlight women who are doing precisely that and accomplishing great things. But she wants to take that concept a step further.
Women of History
“Our American history is filled with iconic and even lesser known women who have fought hard and overcome extreme obstacles. They will forever inspire generations, even centuries of women to come. So, I decided that we need to retell the stories of the women of American history to further remind us of how powerful we can be if we try hard enough,” Trudy said.
American history books are filled with women who accomplished incredible things.
“Clara Barton was known as the ‘Angel of the Battlefield’ for running to the frontlines of the Civil War to render aid to troops. She later founded the Red Cross,” Trudy said.
She continued, “Susan B. Anthony, a remarkable woman ahead of her time, left an indelible mark on history as a tireless advocate for women’s rights and suffrage. Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly over the Atlantic. This list goes on and on.”
She continued, “Then there are lesser known women who have accomplished great things who represented their culture. Kalpana Chawla was the first woman of Indian descent to fly in space for NASA in the space shuttle Columbia. I want to highlight stories of women who paved the way for their culture.”
