Gooding has served in multiple high-intensity roles, providing leadership and mentorship to personnel across various organizations. As a Field Training Officer, she has played a crucial role in shaping the next generation of law enforcement officers by offering guidance, training, and oversight to probationary troopers. Her commitment to professional development extends beyond direct mentorship, as she has been recognized as a subject matter expert in human smuggling by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Border Security Operations Center analysts. In this role, she has contributed to the development of new educational materials aimed at strengthening law enforcement efforts in border security.

Beyond field operations, Gooding has served as a trusted media representative for both national and regional news, providing critical updates on law enforcement matters. She has also played a key role in recruitment efforts for the Texas DPS, helping to attract and inspire new talent in law enforcement.

A former Texas License to Carry instructor, as well as an NRA and private firearms instructor, Gooding has shared her expertise in firearm safety and tactical operations with both civilians and law enforcement personnel. Her specialized skills extend to aerial law enforcement, where she previously worked part-time as a Tactical Flight Officer. In this role, she collaborated with state, local, and federal partners to enhance surveillance and enforcement operations.
