Trudy Jacobson Presents: Lisa Song Sutton
Lisa Song Sutton’s entrepreneurial journey began in Las Vegas after she moved there post-school. Initially working in business litigation, she soon co-founded Sin City Cupcakes, an alcohol-infused treat that became iconic. Realizing the power of collaboration and systems, she expanded into real estate, opening several businesses, including Ship Las Vegas and the ecommerce brand Liquid and Lace. Her passion also led her to venture capital, where she invests in veteran-led startups through The Veteran Fund.
Her story isn’t just about business success—it’s also about resilience. Having faced challenges, including discrimination in a male-dominated trucking industry, Lisa’s perseverance and commitment to overcoming adversity have been key to her achievements.
During her journey, Lisa offered valuable advice to anyone considering starting their own business. She emphasized that the key to success is simply starting—no matter how daunting the process may seem. “There’s a million different ways to do it, but the key is to just do it. Because if you don’t, you are always left wondering,” she said. This advice reflects her belief that taking action is the first and most crucial step toward achieving your dreams.
