Episode 4: Courtney Servaes

Trudy Jacobson Presents: Courtney Servaes – Finding Passion in Brewing

When Courtney first learned about brewing, she did not intend to start a brewery.  She simply wanted to learn about beer.  She joined a social group to learn and discuss beer and unexpectedly found herself chasing a passion.

Over a decade later and she is now pushing her boundaries with brewing to include new and unexpected flavor combinations that make the Shawnee Kansas based brewery so unique.

“I wanted to do more than own a business,” says Courtney about her brewery, and choosing her location of Shawnee, “I wanted to work and help the community that we live in.”  Throughout the year, Servaes Brewing hosts a variety of events, with many of them focusing on philanthropic causes.

Trudy Jacobson is proud to present Great American Women, a web series dedicated to showcasing the stories of inspiring and ambitious female philanthropists and entrepreneurs. These women are leaders in their field, and their stories will motivate and encourage other women to pursue their own dreams.
